When the Island Floats

Overview

Mikio, the former manager of a shuttered movie theater, begins tracing his origins when its building is slated for demolition and redevelopment. His high school best friend, Nobuhiro, struggles to face his father’s advancing dementia. Old things fade away, and new things are born. Every day unfolds as a fleeting moment in a city undergoing constant change.
