Overview

1977 becomes a turbulent year in Sweden. Punk arrives in full force as Sex Pistols perform across the country, while the Tuve landslide in Gothenburg becomes one of the year's biggest news stories. In Umeå, activists protest a planned school construction project by occupying a small woodland area in Ålidhem. At the same time, the travelling theatre production We Are Thousands (Vi äro tusenden) draws audiences around Sweden, and police foil a kidnapping plot targeting Anna-Greta Leijon.
