The Wonder

Overview

Nowadays, inside a warehouse at a funfair, a woman known as The Maker craves a wooden horse on a workbench. She senses the presence of a child in the distance. Outside, in a playground, two sisters, Alicia and Anna, are with their father. Distracted by a phone call with the children's mother, he doesn't pay attention to them. As they play, Alicia spots two children running through the fairground. She feels inexorably drawn to them and decides to follow. They are about to introduce her to The Maker... and her merry-go-round.
