The short film is divided into three chapters (each recited in the original language): the first is inspired by the verses of Russian poet Sergey Esenin, the second is based on a novel by John Steinbeck that gives the work its title, and the third closes with poetic passages by Arthur Rimbaud. They are united by primordial elements such as water, blood, fire, love, and God.
