Gerald Bryson

Gerald Bryson is a former Amazon warehouse worker at the Staten Island JFK8 facility who became a prominent labor rights case during the early Amazon Labor Union organizing drive. He was fired in April 2020 after leading a COVID-19 safety protest, in an incident Amazon characterized as workplace bullying but which the National Labor Relations Board twice ruled to be unlawful retaliation for protected organizing activity — ordering his reinstatement with back pay. His case became a central piece of evidence in the NLRB's broader unfair-labor-practice litigation against Amazon, though a 2024 appeals court ruling later overturned a related order that had barred the company from firing pro-union employees.
