Overview

Moscow, the 1970s. Vera, who has come to the capital on a limited work permit, meets the love of her life. But what can she do when their feelings are opposed by her lover’s influential, high-ranking family and her own surroundings? Vera’s pregnancy only makes the already tangled web of circumstances and contradictions even more complicated. Young, naïve, and far from home, she finds herself facing it all alone.
